ADVERTISING ON TRADE FIND
There are two (2) types of ads on Trade Find:
1. SERVICE ADS
Service Ads are for advertising your services in Trade Find's online service directory. Service Ads are dynamic, live and flexible. You can modify and update your Service Ads as often as you choose and changes you make are displayed instantly. You can also deactivate and activate your Service Ads and move them between regions and service categories to meet seasonal or personal requirements. Two (2) different Service Ad sizes are available. Each ad runs for one (1) year and is renewable upon expiry.
- Standard Ad: Includes up to 500 text characters with one (1) photo, one (1) logo and optional website, podcast and video links.
- Feature Ad: Includes up to 2000 text characters with five (5) photos, one (1) logo and optional website, podcast and video links.
2. JOB ADS
Job Ads are for advertising jobs you have available if your FREE browse on Trade Find doesn't expose anyone suitable. Job Board Ads are dynamic and live. You can modify and update your Job Board Ads whenever you choose and changes you make are displayed instantly. You can also move your Job Ads between regions and service categories to meet seasonal or personal requirements. Four (4) different ad pasting timeframes are available. Each ad runs for the selected term and is renewable upon expiry.
- Job Ad: Includes up to 500 text characters and one (1) photo or logo.
In addtion to Service Ads and Job Ads, Trade Find offers FREE profile listings for tradespeople on the Earthquake Repair database.
SERVICE ADS
Set up your User Registration, login and select 'Create' on the menu bar, select the Ad you wish to purchase and complete the online template.
Standard Ad: Includes up to 500 text characters with one (1) photo, one (1) logo, and optional website, podcast and video clip links.
Feature Ad: Includes up to 2000 text characters with five (5) photos, one (1) logo and optional website, podcast and video clip links.
Job Ad: Includes up to 500 text characters with one (1) photo or logo.

- Feature Ad: Includes up to 2000 text characters with five (5) photos and one (1) logo and optional website, podcast and video links.

- TradeFind advertisers get a whole years national or local advertising for a low one-off fee.
- Our Standard Ads are $49.95 each or can be purchased as low as $29.98 each when you buy a pack of 3 Ads.
- Our Feature Ads are $89.95 each or can be purchased as low as $59.98 each when you buy a pack of 3 Ads.
- Our Job Ads start at $4.95.
During Ad creation you can select one display category for each Ad, and you can choose to display your Ad in one of 18 regions or al over New Zealand. The main benefit of choosing a region is that you are then able to choose specific suburbs within that region for your service offering. This is a great feature for people who want jobs that are close to home. By default all Ads show in 'All of New Zealand' searches.
Service Ads purchased in multiple packs can be pasted across multiple regions.
An Ads region and selected display categories can be changed at anytime by the Ad owner.
Select 'Create' on the menu bar, select the Ads you require and complete the online templates.
These are the available payment options:
CREDIT CARD Payment by credit card is easy and instant. We use the Paypal payment system.
Simply click the 'Pay by Credit Card' option once you have proofed your ad, and follow the prompts to complete your payment.
INTERNET BANKING
1. Create your Ad and take note of it's reference number.
2. Transfer the amount due to 'Trade Find', Account No. 01 1188 0106097 00, using the Ad reference number in the payment reference
field.
3. When payment is made, send a blank email to accounts@tradefind.co.nz stating the Ad reference number in the subject line.
4. You'll recieve an automatic email from Trade Find once your payment is received telling you that your Ad has been activated.
All Ads created will be viewable online as soon as payment has been received. If you are paying by Internet Banking the most important thing to do is to note down is the Reference Number of your Ad so we can trace and match your payment.
We use Paypal which accepts Visa and Mastercard.
Follow the instructions while creating an Ad and the prompts will take you to an 'Add Photo' box where you can browse and select a photo that has been saved on your computer. Alternatively select 'Edit Photo, Manage Photos or Add Photo' if your Ad is already pasted. All images should be in JPEG or GIF format and should be lower than 500KB in size.

Images must not be pornographic or offensive in any way or infringe upon any Trademarks or Copyrights.
If you're looking for someone to paint your fence (for example), attach a photo of your fence. Be creative with your photo and have fun with your selections. Remember good photos will help draw to attention to your Ad.
We recommend your Service Ad includes details of who you are, the service or services you're offering, any areas you specialise in, your experience, skills, qualifications etc, and any guarantees you may offer. Your Job Ad should state the person or service you're looking for in clear detail. You Ads should not contain any pornography, defamatory or unlawful information, or infringe upon any copyrights or trademarks. We recommend your Ad Body doesn't include any contact details (email addresses, phone numbers, website addresses and physical addresses) so that during the times you are using the Ad Deactivation feature (busy or on vacation) that you won't be contacted and disturbed. Your Ads must meet the advertising codes of practice as set by the NZ Advertising Standards Authority (www.asa.co.nz).
- One (1) photo on each Standard Ad
- Five (5) photos on each Feature Ad
- One (1) photo (or logo) on each Job Ad
Photos are optional however Ads with photos get displayed randomly on the Trade Find Home Page in addition to their normal category display, so it's a good idea to attach a photo if you have one. If you don't attach a photo, your Ad will display with the Trade Find 'TF' logo in the photo space on it's chosen category page.
Yes. You can move your Ads between service categories and display regions. Just remember to edit your Ad if you do move it so that the text and photo's relate to the new service category and/or region you've selected.
Yes. An area for your website address is provided as a standard feature on all Service Ads.
Everyone browsing on Trade Find can view your Service Ads and Job Ads and can see the contact details you have chosen to display on your Ad. If you have created a profile in Trade Find's Earthquake Repair database only the referral company who introduced you will be able to view your profile.
While creating an Ad, you are asked to select the contact details you'd like to display on your Ad. If you choose to have your contact details hidden (i.e: by entering your email address and not ticking the box beside it), inquiries will be forwarded to your inbox via Trade Find's email forwarding system. Only when you reply to an email will your email address be disclosed.
This feature is not available in the Earthquake Repair database.

You have an option to have emails forwarded to your inbox without disclosing your contact details. If you choose to have your contact details hidden (i.e: by entering your email address and not ticking the box beside it), inquiries will be forwarded to your inbox via Trade Find's email forwarding system. This feature does not apply to Trade Find's Earthquake Repair database.
Feature Ads display before Standard Ads and Feature Ad owners pay for this premium display positioning when they purchase a Feature Ad. Beyond this 'Feature Ad first and Standard Ad second' display set-up, all Ads on Trade Find undergo an automatic daily display shuffle inside their respective sub-categories, giving all advertisers the same chance of having their Ad/s viewed by site visitors.
In addition to this, Trade Find Ad owners who have a photo on their Ad and who have feedback placed by their customers may find their Ads displaying randomly in the FREE 'Who's Hot' section on Trade Find's Home Page. The more feedback an advertiser has, the greater the chance of having their Ad display in the 'Who's Hot' section.
Ads which have been deactivated (temporarily turned off by the owner because they are either 'busy' or on 'vacation') display after active Ads in random order. When deactivated Ads are activated they return to daily shuffle active Ad display positioning.
Job Ads display in random order under their appropriate service category.
Deactivated Ads move to the bottom of their service category so that site browsers always see Active Ads first. If your Service Ad is deactivated, browsers get to see if you are BUSY or ON VACATION and can request email notification the second you activate your Ad.
All earnings over $200 per year (gross) are treated by the Inland Revenue (the NZ Taxation Department) as taxable income. For more information visit http://www.ird.govt.nz/business-income-tax/
If your overall gross income is more than $40,000 per year, the NZ Inland Revenue Department states that you must register for a GST (Government Sales Tax) number and file GST returns. For more information visit http://www.ird.govt.nz/gst/
Your Ad will stay online for the duration of its term period unless Trade Find's Terms and Conditions are breached. If this occurs your Ad will be removed. You can delete an Ad at anytime but once an Ad is deleted it cannot be restored. If you delete an Ad and then decide to place another Ad you will need to purchase another Ad. We recommend that instead of deleting a Service Ad that you use the Ad deactivation feature which allows you to activate your Service Ad at a later stage throughout its term period.
There's no way of recalling or re-pasting an Ad once it's been deleted. The Trade Find website prompts you prior to deleting an Ad to ensure that Ad deletion cannot happen accidentally. You are also reminded through the Service Ad deletion process that deactivating a Service Ad is a better option since it gives you a chance to actviate your Service Ad again at a later stage throughout its term period. If you accidentally delete an Ad and you want to paste another Ad your only option is to purchase another Ad.
All Ad purchases on Trade Find are non-refundable and non-transferable.
We recommended you keep your Ad text and photo/s fresh, exciting and updated at all times. This includes your contact details because if these are incorrect, people won't be able to reach you.

Click on the link provided under the Service Category selection boxes while creating your Ad to request that your service is added.
Yes. You can purchase, create and manage an Ad on behalf of someone else providing we have set you up with an Ad Copywriting and Ad Handover login. If this interests you, email enquiries@tradefind.co.nz
If an Ad contains your contact details and/or photo/s and you have not personally created the Ad or authorised it, click 'Report Ad' at the bottom of the opened Ad, complete the online template and we'll take action.
Barter is where the buyer and seller of a service agree on a trade of products and/or services in exchange for the service required and being offered. An example of barter might be: I'll paint your fence but I'd like a trailer load of wood for doing it, or I'll clear your section providing I can keep the cash I get for all items I sell. The possibilities are endless. It's whatever you can agree on!
It means that the advertiser is happy to provide you with a quote for the service they are offering and you can agree on the work involved and the price upfront, before any work commences.

Service Advertiser's can invite people who have used their service to complete an online feedback form so that other people interested in using their service can view their feedback. Feedback templates can be accessed by clicking on 'Place Feedback' which is located in the advertiser details box on every Service Ad.
To resize your photos or logo under 500KB, we recommend using Google's Picasa.
All images attached should be in JPEG or GIF format.
We recommend you keep all contact details in the Contact Details box provided or the Ad Deactivation feature will be invalid as your contact details will still be on display when Busy or On Vacation is selected. The Ad Deactivation feature will only hide your contact details when they have been entered into the Contact Details box which is presented at the bottom of the Ad Creation template.
A URL link is a link that opens the URL to pretty much anything that you want to attach to your Trade Find Ad. It's a great way of giving visitors a much broader amount of information about you and your service. Just like your Trade Find Ads, your URL links can be updated, changed or expanded-upon anytime, and updates are instant so what people get to click on is always current.
